I bet that would be good too!karen richardsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05196800201022035316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8528008870581489931.post-27028022046468228382007-09-15T13:06:00.000-05:002007-09-15T13:06:00.000-05:00Maybe you should start your OWN cooking show!! :-...Maybe you should start your OWN cooking show!! :-) I'm grateful for these recipes as I am not a joyful cook . . .blah. But these look easy enough that maybe even I could do them - ha ha.

Here's one of my favorites that I actually do make:

Low-Fat Alfredo Sauce
(adpated from a recipe in the Betty Crocker cookbook)

1/3 c. margarine
1/2 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. Parmesan cheese (or reduced fat Parmesan cheese blend)
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Heat margarine and evaporated milk in a 2 qt. saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until margarine is melted. Stir in cheese, salt and pepper.

I like to serve this with Barilla Plus rotini (whole wheat pasta with omega-3 and other goodies added in). I also toss in cooked chicken for the meat-eaters in the family :-)

Great post idea, Karen!Leilannihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13080541157875080308noreply@blogger.com
